Mustangs Player Suspended

Reds Minor League outfielder Justin Reed was handed a 50-game suspension for a second positive test for a “drug of abuse” that violated the Minor League drug prevention and treatment program, according to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com. Reed, a fourth-round Draft pick in 2006, batted .222 in 124 games for Class A Sarasota last season but he was currently on the roster of Rookie-level Billings.

Reed’ suspension won’t begin until Billings’ season starts June 21.
